A certificate can be issued only on a token or for HSM; saving into a file is not possible. If you do not have a compatible token, you must buy one.

Key delivery method

You must buy a token for £65.00 with the certificate.

A courier with a configured HW token will be dispatched after the certificate has been issued. Select this default option if you do not yet have a token.

The option to save to the hardware security module (HSM) is for professionals who will use the CS EV certificate on the HW repository. We recommend this option to experts only. When you select this option, DigiCert requires you to prove that the token is stored safe and you are qualified to use it on the HSM.

If you are renewing the current certificate and you have a working token, you can use the renewal certificate with the token you already have and you do not have to wait for a new token from the CA.

KeyLocker is a modern and secure way to store your private key and certificate in the cloud (HSM). After completing the order, you will automatically receive an invitation to a new KeyLocker account. The certificate will already be in it and you can start signing right away.

KeyLocker is available at an additional cost to the order price and allows you to perform 1000 signatures, licenses can be purchased and the number of signatures can be increased. The price for 1 year is £150.
